The Premier won by 7-38 to 3-18 in what was grim viewing at O’Connor Park.

Stephen Corcoran
Made a couple of great saves and could do little about the goals scored. Given Tipp’s dominance, it’s difficult to be too critical of his puckouts. 7/10
Ben Conneely
On a hiding to nothing given the quality pf ball going in but did brilliantly to deny Jake Morris a goal at the start of the second half. 6/10

Manfully faced up the ball and the quality he was against. 6/10
David King
Also under massive pressure but kept going until a late injury. 5.5/10
Jack Clancy
Won the odd free and battled. 5/10
Jason Sampson
Really quality player and looked totally at home against top-tier opposition, especially when moved upfield. 7.5/10

Did his best to get into the game but Tipp just had too many runners. 5/10

An aerial threat at times and stuck to his task. 6.5/10
Eoghan Cahill
Was Offaly’s leading light in terms of scoring and getting on ball until a nasty hamstring injury ended his day early. 8/10
Adrian Cleary
Tried to drop back to help his defence out but there was simply too much space and quality ball going in. 6/10
Cillian Kiely
Didn’t have a major impact from play, but won a penalty for Cahill to score, fired a free to the net, and hit a few points. 6/10
Paddy Clancy
A good target man at times and created a few openings. 6/10
Charlie Mitchell
Mitchell had a tough day as captain in the Under-20 final defeat to Cork but was very good here, and hit a fine goal in the second half. 7.5/10
