Three-time All-Ireland winner Ben O’Connor believes the time is now for Cork, and expects Patrick Horgan to hit form for the Rebels County.

After making a losing start to championship 2021, Kieran Kingston’s charges bounced back with a narrow 3-19 to 1-23 victory over Clare at the LIT Gaelic Grounds last weekend.
That victory has set up an All-Ireland quarter-final with Dublin in Thurles tomorrow night.
Heading into that game, the bookies have Cork at 7/1 to land the Liam McCarthy Cup next month.
O’Connor is more hopeful of the Leesiders chances of going all the way.
“I would have Cork as All-Ireland contenders, but I will add on their day,” the two-time All Star told Shane Stapleton.
“If they were more consistent that would be great, but whoever beats Limerick will be champions this year.
After a poor day at the office against Limerick, Patrick Horgan was back in-form against the Banner, knocking over 10 points and O’Connor is predicting more from the Glen Rovers man.
“Hoggie got a lot of stick after the Limerick game, but you’re entitled to a poor game every so often,” he stated.
“If he was 23-years-old there wouldn’t have been as much about it, just because he’s those years older and people think the legs are gone.
“Hopefully at the weekend he will have his radar in and be banging in the goals and points.”
