2007 All Star Ollie Moran chats about Limerick’s quest to regain the All-Ireland, being in school with and battling against Shane O’Neill, the clash with Galway, and a look ahead to Waterford v Kilkenny.

Ollie Moran believes that Limerick have been gearing themselves up for redemption in 2020.
John Kiely’s brigade were looking odds-on to retain their All-Ireland title in 2019 but were beaten by an excellent Kilkenny performance at the semi-final stage.
The Treaty retained both the league and Munster titles since the season resumed in October, and were comprehensive in their wins over Clare and Tipperary.
They edged Waterford by four point in the provincial decider โ 0-25 to 0-21 โ and are strong favourites to overcome Galway this weekend.
“There was serious intent in how they were hurling, and they seemed to have picked up from Kilkenny (in 2019),” says 2007 All Star Moran.
“It wasn’t a poor performance but they left themselves with too much to do.
“Certainly all the energy and momentum this year has been really about redeeming themselves in oneย sense, and getting back to where they felt they should have been last year.
“Up to now, very good in the league, very very good against Clare, second half extremely emphatic against Tipperary, and came through a difficult challenge against Waterford.
“Waterford asked serious questions and they ground it out, and that’s maybe the first time this year they have had to really think deep.
“They’re at the business end of the year but they’re around long enough to know this is where they came unstuck last year.
“So there will be renewed energy to redeem the defeat against Kilkenny last year.”
