Shane Stapleton and Fintan O’Toole of The 42 talk about Ballymun’s fantastic Dublin final performance, Mountbellew Moylough beating Corofin, pain for Noel McGrath and Loughmore-Castleiney, and new champions springing up across the GAA world.
Club football produced yet another weekend of high drama.
If it wasn’t the manner in which Ballymun ended eight years of pain, it was Mountbellew Moylough shocking Corofin in the Galway semi-final.
As described by Shane Stapleton and Fintan O’Toole of The 42, this has been a season of new champions, the ending of famines, and the dethroning of champions.
Naomh Mairtin won their first ever Louth SFC title, as was the case of St Barnabas in New York, while Ederney ended a long famine in Fermanagh.
