EIGHT REMAIN IN RACE FOR LIAM MacCARTHY CUP
And then there were eight! Kilkenny and Limerick are through to the All-Ireland Senior
Hurling Championship semi-finals as Leinster and Munster champions, respectively,
where they will be joined by two from the following: Carlow, Clare, Dublin, Galway,
Offaly, Tipperary.
The preliminary quarterfinals take centre-stage on Saturday, followed a week later by the quarterfinals.
The preliminary quarter-final pairings as follows:
- Offaly v Tipperary, Glenisk O’Connor Park, 4.00pm (Winner plays Galway)
- Carlow v Dublin, Netwatch Cullen Park, 5.00pm (Winner plays Clare)

Tipperary, Glenisk O’Connor Park. - Quarter-finals: June 24: Galway v Offaly/Tipperary; Clare v Carlow/Dublin.
- Semi-finals: July 8: Limerick v quarter-final winners; July 9; Kilkenny v quarter-final
winners. Both in Croke Park. - Final: July 23, Croke Park.
CRUCIAL WEEKEND IN ALL-IRELAND FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP
It’s decision time! The twelve counties who will contest the knock-out stages of the 2023 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship will be known by this Sunday evening when the four groups complete their ‘Round Robin’ schedule.
Galway, Mayo, Derry, Monaghan and Donegal are already through to the last twelve, with the other seven slots, plus the top four who will qualify directly for the quarterfinals, to emerge from the games on Saturday and Sunday. Clare are the only county in any of the groups who cannot make the knock-out stages.
The Tailteann Cup has reached the quarter-final stage, with the four games spread across Saturday and Sunday:
