Enda and Steven preview the Ulster senior football final between Derry and Armagh, and look at the Rory Gallagher situation.
Steven Poacher expects Chrissy McKaigue to mark Rian O’Neill in what could be a defining clash in the Ulster SFC final between Armagh and Derry.
“Shane McGuigan is the standout one, and will they look to match up with Conor Glass,” Poacher says.
“That’s where I’d fear for Armagh, around midfield… Stefan Campbell has played midfield, I’m not sure he’ll be there answer there on Sunday.”
Poacher also talks about sending high balls into the Derry square for goalkeeper Odhran Lynch and young full-back Eoin McEvoy to deal with, with McKaigue expected to pick up O’Neill.
“I think I’m swaying towards Armagh,” says Varley.
“We’re not going to get into too much details, but having been part of social media, and Rory (Gallagher) and his private life, how are Derry going to handle that?
“Do players stay off social media? They probably do.”
Poacher replies: “Social media at that level is dangerous.”
Poacher looks at the cluster attacks that Derry like to use when driving forward, but asks if Armagh will have cottoned on to it.
“I don’t think playing them man-to-man if of any use against Derry,” he adds, and speaks of how they will expose this.”
