Richie Reid (Kilkenny) v Donal Burke (Dublin)
Donal Burke has hit a tasty 2-31 (0-23 frees, 0-2 โ65sโ) in three Leinster SHC games this year in a gunshy Dublin forward line.
Ronan Hayes pulled up with a hamstring issue in the win over Wexford and, while Cian O’Sullivan and Alex Considine are threats inside, so much rests on the shoulders of Burke.
The Na Fianna man can play anywhere in attack but often sits in the pocket on the wing to score from distance. Kilkenny may post a man-marker on him such as David Blanchfield or Darragh Corcoran, but Micheal Donoghue could drop Burke in at 11.
This would give Derek Lyng something to think about, in terms of whether he needs to keep a marker on the Dublin star, or let Reid go man-a-mano.
Whoever hits more ball of these two players may well lead their side over the line.
