Once more, the hurling world was rocked to its core by a momentous weekend of the ancient game.

Tipperary and Clare bowed out for the season after going down fighting against Galway and Waterford respectively.

The latter sides will this weekend line out in the All-Ireland SHC semi-finals, and both have shown great heart to make it through.
