Kilkenny needed 90 minutes and 15 scorers to eventually see off Wexford in an enthralling Leinster SHC semi-final at Croke Park.

TJ Reid knocked over 0-16 and Eoin Cody hit 1-5 for the Cats, but it was their bench that edged this classic encounter.

Brian Cody’s cavalry pitched in with 1-8, with Wally Walsh’s goal in the second half of extra time proving decisive.

They will now face Dublin in the Leinster final.
