A round-up of Tuesday evening’s results in the Munster minor hurling and Leinster Under-20 football championships.
Clare and Limerick both emerged victorious in their opening games of the Munster minor hurling championship.
Clare secured a 2-15 to 0-14 win over All-Ireland champions Tipperary, with Michael Collins and Marc O’Brien scoring goals in a rain-soaked match.
Meanwhile, Limerick defeated Waterford 1-7 to 0-7, thanks to a ninth-minute goal by Cathal Hayes.
In the Leinster Under-20 football Round 1, Meath beat Longford 0-12 to 0-4 and Laois defeated Carlow 1-12 to 1-10 in Group 1.
Dublin won 1-14 to 3-6 against Wicklow, while Offaly secured a 2-4 to 0-10 victory over Louth in Group 2.
Finally, in Group 3, Westmeath defeated Kildare 2-10 to 0-10.
