Tipp final | Doon’s time? | Lock of the week | Cuala v Boden | Galway semis | origin of Trollier

There are huge games across the country with county finals in Tipperary, Limerick, Dublin and more, while Galway are down to the final four

Shane Stapleton and Michael Verney go through the big clashes this weekend in Club Talk: Hurling. Brought to you by Slattery Sullivan Insurances in Nenagh — call 067-56705 and use promo code ‘OurGame’ for 10% off all new business quotes.

Doon shocked Limerick hurling by beating Kilmallock in the county semi-final despite being without two of their county stars in Richie English and Darragh O’Donovan.

It remains to be seen if the latter is fit for the final, but Na Piarsaigh will go in as raging-hot favourites to regain their crown.

We look at some of the big match-ups for that game, as we do in the Tipperary final where Kiladangan look to create history against Loughmore-Castleiney.

Can Con O’Callaghan lead Cuala to a fifth Dublin title in six years against Paul Ryan’s Ballyboden?

And will John Meyler help Kilmoyley wrest the Kerry crown from Causeway?

Turloughmore are still looking to make the breakthrough in Galway, and will face Loughrea in a semi-final, while St Thomas’ will be fancied to topple Cappataggle.
