Sunday May 28
ALL-IRELAND SFC ROUND 1
Dublin v Roscommon, Croke Park, 4.0 – GAAGO
A mammoth task for the Rossies given their poor Croke Park record but one which Davy Burke will no doubt relish. Dublin hit a season-best in their Leinster final mauling of Louth, though, and should prevail with a bit to spare.
Verdict: Dublin by seven
LEINSTER SHC ROUND 5
Westmeath v Antrim, TEG Cusack Park, 2.0
There are huge ramifications for both sides with the threat of relegation looming. Westmeath come here on the back of their greatest ever championship win against Wexford and there may be nothing to separate these two.
Verdict: Draw
Dublin v Galway, Croke Park, 2.0 – RTร2
Dublin boss Micheรกl Donoghue face off against his native county, and many of the side which he led to All-Ireland SHC honours in 2017, but Galway can confirm their Leinster final place despite the absence of Cathal Mannion.
Verdict: Galway by four.
Wexford v Kilkenny, Chadwicks Wexford Park, 2.0
Wexford, who have recalled Diarmuid O’Keeffe and Kevin Foley, need to win to ensure that they avoid relegation but don’t expect Kilkenny to do them any favours and Derek Lyng’s Cats can come through this.
Verdict: Kilkenny by four.
MUNSTER SHC ROUND 5
Tipperary v Waterford, FBD Semple Stadium, 4.0 – GAAGO
Davy Fitzgerald looks set to be without key men Conor Prunty, Austin Gleeson and Jamie Barron due to injury as the Dรฉise bid to put some respectability on the board. Anything other than a decent Tipp win would be a surprise, though, with Liam Cahill’s sideline ban also overturned.
Verdict: Tipperary by nine.
Limerick v Cork, TUS Gaelic Grounds, 4.0 – RTร2
What a cracker in store as two heavyweights play for their championship survival with Limerick’s All-Ireland four-in-a-row hopes dangling by a thread. Cork look more reliable under Pat Ryan but the Treaty will grind them down in the end to qualify.
Verdict: Limerick by three.
