The lads discuss a bumper weekend of GAA action, with former Monaghan star Dessie Mone reflecting on his county’s huge win over Tyrone.

Dessie Mone joined Shane and Michael to discuss the impact of former county teammates Conor McManus and Vinny Corey on the Ulster SFC win over Tyrone.

Clontibret teammate ‘Mannsy’ gave a brilliant performance for the Farney County, while Mone reflected on the early days of Corey‘s tenure.

The discussion then moved to Derry’s win over Fermanagh, and covered the wider landscape of the football championship.

In hurling, Stapleton and Verney did a third Hurling Power Rankings of 2023, with plenty of moves and shakers.

Meath, Tyrone, and Sligo all emerged victorious in the Christy Ring Cup while Armagh, Donegal, and Wicklow claimed wins in the opening round of the Nicky Rackard Cup.

Meath defeated Mayo 2-20 to 0-24 in Navan, with Jack Regan bagging 1-11 for the victors. Eamon O Donnchadha scored the other goal for Meath, while Cormac Phillips hit 0-13 for Mayo.

Sligo won against London 2-20 to 1-20 at Markievicz Park โ€” Joe McHugh scored the late goal for the hosts, with Diarmuid Hanniffy also finding the net for Sligo.

Tyrone and Derry finished all square at 2-20 each in their clash at Healy Park. Lorcan Devlin scored a goal for Tyrone, while John Mullan and Cormac O’Doherty delivered majors for Derry.

Armagh beat Roscommon 2-24 to 0-18 at Dr Hyde Park, with Conor Renaghan and Eoin McGuinness goaling for the victors, while Donegal defeated Fermanagh 1-21 to 0-18.

Wicklow claimed a 4-25 to 0-13 win over Louth in Aughrim, while Warwickshire beat Cavan 3-15 to 0-22 with a late goal from Jack Grealish in the Lory Meagher Cup. Monaghan and Leitrim finished all square 1-18 to 3-12 at Clontibret.
