The lads on OurGame discuss a bumper weekend of GAA action as the All-Ireland group stages, the Tailteann Cup, and underage finals took centre stage.

Shane Stapleton and Michael Verney had a brilliant weekend of GAA to gorge on.

They started off with the news that Davy Nelson has stepped down as manager of All-Ireland ladies football champions Meath after just eight months in charge.

They then looked at the most exciting hurling prospects for 2024 after a weekend where Bern Cunningham and Adam Screeney shot the lights out.

Verney came in for plenty of flak from viewers over the Faithful’s defeat to Cork, and his usual love of “playing on the edge”.

In football, there was a discussion about whether you should get two points for scoring from open play outside the ‘45, and how this might bring back players who are not athletes first and foremost.

We also looked at the Football Power Rankings and why finishing second or third in the groups matters.
