Many believe that the GAA are failing the game and its supporters, and locking them out of viewing this wonderful sport.
Without question, the Rebels versus the Premier was the plum tie of the weekend, followed most closely perhaps by Wexford v Dublin in the Leinster SHC.
The Connacht SFC final between Galway and Sligo and the Munster decider featuring Kerry and Clare were both one-sided affairs, as had been forecast, and were available on RTE2.
In terms of winning the hearts and minds of the young people in this country, not to mention giving people free-to-air access to our national sports, many have viewed this as a huge own goal by the association.
