This could well be a decisive match-up in the Joe McDonagh final as one of Offaly’s most consistent defender in recent years takes on Carlow’s leader.
Marty ‘Mouse’ Kavanagh has so often been the man to deliver for county and St Mullin’s but he will not get an easy ride at Croke Park.
Conneely can play anywhere in the backs but there is a decent chance that he will pick up Kavanagh close to goal here.
